🔧 Step 1: Clean AutoDos dispenser system thoroughly

      1. Open the dishwasher door fully until it rests at approximately 45 degrees.
      2. Locate the AutoDos dispenser compartment on the inside of the door, positioned in the upper right corner, approximately 3 inches from the top edge and 2 inches from the right side.
      3. Press the rectangular release button labeled “AutoDos” directly below the dispenser compartment window. The dispenser drawer will spring open approximately 1 inch.
      4. Grip the dispenser drawer by its front edge and pull straight out until it stops at the first resistance point (approximately 4 inches out).
      5. Lift the drawer upward at a 30-degree angle while continuing to pull forward. The drawer will release completely from the door cavity.
      6. Remove the yellow detergent cartridge (if installed) by twisting it counterclockwise 90 degrees and pulling straight up.
      7. Fill your sink with 2 gallons of warm water (110-120°F) and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
      8. Submerge the entire AutoDos drawer assembly in the vinegar solution for 15 minutes.
      9. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to scrub the dispensing nozzle opening (the small circular hole at the bottom front of the drawer, approximately 3mm diameter).
      10. Scrub the cartridge socket threads inside the drawer using circular motions, removing any detergent residue or buildup.
      11. Insert the toothbrush into the drawer cavity inside the dishwasher door, reaching approximately 5 inches deep, and scrub the internal dispensing mechanism visible at the back of the cavity.
      12. Rinse the drawer under running water for 30 seconds, ensuring water flows freely through the dispensing nozzle.
      13. Shake the drawer vigorously 5-6 times to remove excess water.
      14. Wipe the drawer cavity inside the door using a lint-free cloth dampened with the vinegar solution.
      15. Allow both the drawer and door cavity to air dry for 10 minutes before reassembly.

🛠️ Step 2: Recalibrate dispenser per manual instructions

      1. Press and hold the “Start/Stop” button (located on the right side of the control panel) for 3 seconds until the display activates.
      2. Press the “Extra Dry” button and “Delay Start” button simultaneously for 5 seconds to enter service mode – the display will show “P00”.
      3. Press the “>” arrow button (right arrow on the control panel) repeatedly until the display shows “P99” – this is the dispenser calibration program.
      4. Press “Start/Stop” once to confirm entry – you’ll see “CAL” flash on the display.
      5. Open the dishwasher door fully to the horizontal position (90 degrees).
      6. Locate the dispenser unit on the inside of the door, positioned 8 inches from the top edge and 5 inches from the right edge.
      7. Remove the rinse aid reservoir cap by turning it counterclockwise 90 degrees.
      8. Fill the rinse aid reservoir completely to the MAX line (approximately 110ml capacity) using liquid rinse aid.
      9. Replace the cap and tighten clockwise until it stops rotating.
      10. Close the dishwasher door completely until it latches with an audible click.
      11. Press “Start/Stop” button – the dishwasher will run a 90-second dispenser priming cycle where you’ll hear three distinct clicking sounds from the dispenser mechanism.
      12. Wait for the display to show “End” – this indicates successful calibration completion.
      13. Press and hold “Start/Stop” for 3 seconds to exit service mode – the display will return to the normal time indicator showing “0:00”.
      14. Open the door and inspect the dispenser flap (the rectangular door on the front of the dispenser unit) – press it gently with one finger and release; it should spring back to the closed position within 1 second with a soft click.
      15. Wipe any residual rinse aid from around the dispenser opening using a dry cloth.

⚙️ Step 3: Check for air bubbles in dispenser lines

      1. Open the dishwasher door fully and remove the lower dish rack by lifting it straight up and out of the cabinet.
      2. Locate the rinse aid dispenser on the inside of the door, positioned in the upper right corner approximately 8 inches from the top edge and 3 inches from the right side.
      3. Remove the rinse aid dispenser cap by turning it counterclockwise one-quarter turn and lifting it off.
      4. Shine a flashlight into the dispenser reservoir and look down through the clear plastic chamber – you should see a vertical tube approximately 4mm in diameter running down the center.
      5. Fill the reservoir completely with rinse aid until liquid reaches the fill line marked at approximately 110ml capacity.
      6. Watch the center tube for 30 seconds – air bubbles will rise through the liquid if trapped air exists in the dispenser lines.
      7. If bubbles appear continuously for more than 10 seconds, press the dispenser release button located on the control panel (press and hold the “Extra Dry” button for 3 seconds) to manually dispense rinse aid and purge air from the system.
      8. Refill the reservoir to the fill line again and observe for another 30 seconds.
      9. Locate the detergent dispenser on the inside of the door, positioned in the center-left area approximately 10 inches from the top and 6 inches from the left edge.
      10. Open both detergent compartments by pressing the release latch on each – the prewash compartment opens upward, the main wash compartment has a spring-loaded door.
      11. Inspect the internal spray nozzle visible at the back of the main wash compartment – it should show no white calcium deposits or blockages in its three 1mm diameter holes.
      12. Replace the rinse aid cap by aligning the arrow markings and turning clockwise until it stops with an audible click.

🔩 Step 4: Inspect dispenser mechanism

      1. Locate the dispenser assembly on the interior door panel, positioned 8 inches from the top edge and 3 inches from the right side when facing the open door.
      2. Remove the two T20 Torx screws securing the dispenser cover plate—one at the top right corner and one at the bottom left corner of the dispenser housing.
      3. Lift the white plastic dispenser cover straight up and away from the door, revealing the internal mechanism with two compartments (main wash on left, rinse aid on right).
      4. Examine the spring-loaded flap mechanism in the main detergent compartment. Press down on the gray rectangular flap with your index finger—it should compress 5-8mm and snap back firmly when released.
      5. Check for white calcium deposits or dried detergent residue around the flap hinge points (located at both sides where the flap connects to the housing). Scrape away buildup using a flat-blade screwdriver wrapped in a microfiber cloth.
      6. Inspect the wax motor actuator—a cylindrical silver component measuring 40mm long, mounted horizontally behind the detergent flap with two wire leads (one brown, one blue) connected via a white plug connector.
      7. Disconnect the wax motor plug by squeezing the small plastic tab on top and pulling straight out. Examine the connector pins inside for corrosion or green discoloration.
      8. Test the detergent flap spring tension by manually opening and closing it 5 times. The flap should close completely flush with the housing edge without gaps larger than 1mm.
      9. Check the rinse aid cap seal on the right compartment—the rubber gasket should be intact with no cracks or compression set (permanent deformation). The seal thickness should measure 2-3mm uniformly around its circumference.
      10. Verify the dispenser release cam (white plastic gear visible at the bottom center of mechanism) rotates freely without binding when turned clockwise with your finger.

đź“‹ Step 5: Replace dispenser components if recalibration fails

      1. Order replacement dispenser assembly part number 10748040 (complete unit with actuator) or individual components: actuator motor 10832130, spring mechanism 10748050, and door latch 10748060.
      2. Verify your replacement part by comparing the 8-digit number stamped on the back of your current dispenser housing to the number on the new part packaging – they must match exactly.
      3. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker, then open the dishwasher door fully.
      4. Remove the 6 Torx T20 screws securing the inner door panel – 3 screws along the top edge spaced 4 inches apart, 3 screws along each side edge positioned 2 inches, 8 inches, and 14 inches from the top.
      5. Lift the inner door panel up 2 inches, then pull it toward you to disengage the bottom clips.
      6. Locate the dispenser assembly on the right side of the door, 8 inches from the top edge – it’s a white rectangular unit measuring 6 inches wide by 4 inches tall.
      7. Disconnect the 6-pin white connector from the dispenser motor by squeezing the locking tab on top and pulling straight out.
      8. Disconnect the thin clear rinse aid tube by pressing the blue release ring and pulling the tube away.
      9. Remove 4 Phillips #2 screws at each corner of the dispenser mounting bracket.
      10. Pull the entire dispenser assembly straight toward you to remove it from the door cavity.
      11. Position the new dispenser assembly into the door cavity, aligning the 4 mounting holes with the threaded inserts in the door frame.
      12. Install the 4 mounting screws and tighten to finger-tight plus one-quarter turn.
      13. Push the rinse aid tube onto the barbed fitting until it seats completely – you’ll feel resistance stop at 0.5 inches insertion depth.
      14. Connect the 6-pin connector until it clicks audibly.
      15. Reinstall the inner door panel by hooking the bottom clips first, then securing all 6 Torx screws.
      16. Restore power and run a rinse cycle to verify the dispenser opens at the 45-minute mark.
